Giannis Tryfiatis was born in Piraeus and is a permanent resident of Athens.
His academic background includes: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Pedagogy, University of Crete (1996), Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Pedagogy and Psychology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2000), Master’s Degree (M.B.A.) in Modern Technologies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2006), Ph.D. in Language Didactics with Digital Media, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2017).
- He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Primary Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
- He is a member of the organizing committee of the nationwide language competition “Cleitarchos and Berenice.”
- He is a Collaborating Academic Staff (CAS) member at the Hellenic Open University.
- His published work includes articles in research journals, scientific books, and proceedings from international and national conferences.
- He was the creator of the New Curriculum (2022) for the course of Modern Greek Language in Primary Education.
