Every child, adolescent, and their family have different needs, strengths, aspirations, and goals. At TRY, we provide personalized counseling services in education, psychological support and assessment, as well as career guidance, with the aim of enabling informed educational decisions that support smooth school integration, educational progress, empowerment, and the resilience of individuals and family members.

School Selection Counseling
Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. The TRY team specializes in providing counseling to parents and guardians on school selection, as well as on broader issues relating to the educational landscape. Our aim is not simply to offer advice and answers, but to build meaningful, collaborative relationships based on trust regarding matters that concern children’s education and development. This is a dynamic, personalized process that enables parents and guardians to gain a detailed understanding of everything required to address their needs when selecting the most appropriate school environment.
School Readiness Assessment
Starting Primary School is a major transition in a child’s life. It is therefore important for the child to be appropriately prepared, both cognitively and emotionally, so that they can adapt confidently to the demands of school and develop their potential without excessive anxiety. A school readiness assessment examines the extent to which the child has the skills required to respond effectively to the conditions and expectations of the first stage of formal schooling. Upon completion of the assessment, the TRY team provides specific recommendations and practical suggestions designed to support the child’s smooth integration into school and future learning journey.
Psychological Support During Periods of Change & School Transitions
Transitioning to a new school environment or to a new stage of education may create anxiety, uncertainty, and increased emotional demands for a child. Appropriate psychological support contributes to a smoother adjustment and more effective management of new challenges. At TRY, we provide personalized care aimed at strengthening self-confidence, managing anxiety, developing psychological resilience and adaptive skills, and enhancing mental well-being. Support is provided in a safe and empathetic environment, using practical tools tailored to the individual needs of the child and family.
Learning Difficulties Assessment (Greek Educational System and IB Schools)
Learning difficulties can affect not only a child’s academic performance but also their self-confidence, behavior, and emotional well-being. When a child repeatedly experiences academic failure, they may begin to feel unable to meet the demands of school. Early identification helps prevent the child from perceiving these difficulties as being beyond their abilities and, most importantly, from developing a negative self-image regarding themselves and their capabilities. TRY’s assessment is conducted using reliable psychometric tools and aims to develop a meaningful understanding of how the child learns. Based on the assessment results, personalized recommendations are formulated to support the child’s everyday school experience, with the goal of improving both their learning progress and psychological well-being.
Academic & Career Counseling
Choosing a field of study and a future profession is an important decision that requires genuine self-awareness, reliable information, and personalized guidance. Through the career counseling process, TRY explores the student’s personality, interests, individual abilities, professional values, and educational and career aspirations. The aim is for the child’s choices to reflect their actual strengths, needs, and personal aspirations, creating the conditions for a conscious and meaningful path at both the personal and academic levels.
